This page explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on numerocinco.pt.

1. What we use today

We use browser local storage (localStorage) for strictly technical functions:

• n5lang — stores your language preference (Portuguese or English). It does not identify you and is not shared with third parties.
• n5consent2 — stores your consent choice for measurement and advertising cookies, per category.

With your consent (per category in the banner), we also use:

• Metricool (tracker.metricool.com) — site audience measurement (page views, traffic source), used to understand what works. Only loaded after you consent to the Analytics category.
• Meta Pixel (connect.facebook.net) — measuring the effectiveness of posts and ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and building advertising audiences. Only loaded after you consent to the Marketing category. More information in Meta's privacy policy.

2. Cookie categories

• Necessary — essential for the site to work (e.g. language preference, storing your consent choice). No consent required.
• Analytics — audience measurement (Metricool). Only with your consent.
• Marketing — advertising and remarketing (Meta Pixel). Only with your consent.
• Preferences — additional personalisation. Not currently used.

You can change your choice at any time — no need to clear anything manually.

3. How to manage

The consent banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential or manage preferences by category. To change your choice later, use the "Change cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page — your new choice takes effect immediately. Measurement and advertising tools are only loaded after consent in the respective category.
